Praktika – AI Language Tutor

Looks great, but I only want to pay for a month at a time. The minimum is 3 months, or a year. $8.99 is fine, as long as I'm paying monthly...... *edit* I was NOT charged, because I did not choose to be charged and I pay attention before I put in my info. I will not try an app that wants me to pay for minimum 3 months. I WILL pay monthly. Honestly, your reply shows e that doing business with you would be difficult, because you sent an automated reply that is out of touch with what I really said.

I've only tried it once. it seems like it could be helpful. theres a 7 day free trial then you have to pay for either 3 mo or a year at a time, so it isnt free and the free trial isnt really long enough to tell if it's helping you much. My tutor sometimes takes on a demonic voice, or a completely different voice, or a voice with a lot of feedback mixed in with it, or just a creepy voice overall...it makes it a little unsettling and I never know when it is going to happen so it freaks me out.

I'm using it to learn Japanese. this app shows real promise but it has some problems in the Japanese context. For example, it will list something in kanji and then phonetically next to it which is great. but the AI reads both. so every time it says anything in Japanese while it's speaking it says it twice which will slowly drive you crazy. there are other little problems and there's lag for the AI to continue teaching you. It has potential but I don't know that this is a winner.

This app is incredible. Very well built AI interface. It recalls previous interactions, even after creating a custom interaction. It allows for adlibing and has great translation options as well as a custom dictionary where you can add your own words. I would love if common phrases could be saved in a custom folder as well. I'm definitely going to move to the annual subscription. I actually look forward to practicing with this app.

I'm really upset because I was charged a 3 month subscription through the website. I was sent the email to set a password, but it was a broken link, and now I'm out $20. That may not be a lot, but it is for someone who struggles living paycheck to paycheck! But I was willing to pay it anyways! Now I'm on the app and it's wanting me to pay after only 7 days??? I either need this link in my email fixed or I need my money back. I don't care which.
