Best Buy: Shop tech deals

Absolutely terrible. Freezes randomly or just flat refuses to load pages like when I click on a product or go to check my repair status. Sometimes it just decides to sign out randomly, then you have to go through the annoying sign in process - which is ridiculous.... It gives you the option to use text code, password, or email however if you try to use your password, it just goes to a page where it wants to text a code anyway - then force you to change your password even if you don't want to.

I'm surprised this app has a good rating. First, it's laggy. Second, a bug caused my purchased TV to not appear in my purchase history. I contacted customer service, but no one could resolve the issue. I made the purchase in November 2024, and it still hasn't shown up. Because of this bug, I also missed the post-purchase price match, which could have saved me $600.

Terrible queue system that can easily be manipulated by bots...I've never successfully pre-ordered anything with the Drops through the app. "Coming Soon" turns to "In Line" to "Sold Out". Hot items like TCG products for the family to a standing mixer for my wife to a monitor for myself, it doesn't matter...everything is instantly sold out after the Pre-Order option becomes available.

The app does some handy things the web page doesn't, eg letting you scan the barcode of items in store to check prices. The web page, on the other hand, is consistently snappy while the app sometimes gets sluggish or doesn't update buttons properly. I use both on my phone, and I appreciate that they play nicely together if you are logged into both.

everything loads slow even on super fast connections and it's not my phone as this is the only shopping app (or app in general) that loads this slow. there also isn't a way to filter out the marketplace items and make it so products that are only sold by Best buy are shown. you can technically use the in store nearby filter but then if something is not in a store by you it won't show and you can't order it for pickup or delivery. the app desperately needs a SOLD BY BEST BUY filter and fast
