What Android version do I need for the Glassdoor app? high
Glassdoor requires Android 8.0 or higher. It is rated for Everyone and has over 10 million downloads.
Source: app_metadata
Does Glassdoor have login or setup problems? medium
Based on recent user reviews, some users report login issues such as being signed out immediately after signing in, and setup screens that are broken or lack necessary options (e.g., no skip button for unemployed users). These appear to be recurring concerns in recent feedback, though they may not represent the experience of all users given the app's 4.7 rating.

Can I change the company I work for on my Glassdoor profile? low
Glassdoor says you can change your company every 90 days. However, one recent reviewer reports being unable to change their company from an old position even after years, and support provided only a generic article. This appears to be an isolated complaint in the available sample.

Getting Started

- Google Play user reviews (12-20 preferred; may be smaller if source data is limited per app), December 2025 (1 review), December 2025 (1 review), June 2020 (1 review), October 2024 (1 review), June 2023 (1 review)
- Google Play ratings distribution
- App Store listing metadata
- Review samples are not statistically representative of all user sentiment
- High-engagement negative reviews can overrepresent complaints
- Claims labeled 'low confidence' are based on single-review observations only
- No real-world app testing was conducted
- Feature availability may vary by region, device, and app version
- The ratings distribution was null in this sample, so aggregate sentiment context is limited
- Only 5 recent reviews were available; no positive, negative, or mixed sampling buckets could be included

1★they don't let you change the company you work for. it says you can change it every 90 days, but I haven't used the app in a few years, went to go change it from a very old position, and it refuses to change. I have contacted support and the best they can do is send me an article explaining "just click in the box and start typing" but it's greyed out and locked. just use LinkedIn, it's so much better and a lot less of a headache.

1★This app genuinely is not helpful. Do it on your computer because it will NOT log you in no matter how many times you sign in. As soon the page for logging in exits out, it immediately signs you out and won't let you apply to the job. The only way to apply for the job? Sign in. Half the time, it just redirects you to Indeed anyways. Save yourself the trouble and don't use it on mobile, or maybe at all.

1★The very first screen is broken. It asks for my most recent job title and location. Type either in and there is no button to accept. Pressing enter adds a new line. There's no way for me to enter these in properly unless there the app recognizes my job title and location, which it doesn't. My job title isn't uncommon at all (Technical Lead) and it should pick up on the location. Not off to a great start.

1★Cant even get through the setup. When I get to the "areas you work in" part, there's no option to let me skip or select none. I'm unemployed and have no experience in any of the categories they offer. How does one look for a job when youre required to select an option that doesn't apply to you? Terrible app. If they ever fix it, awesome, but until then that's just stupid.

2★Not good. Users can't set search radius or choose anything besides a very general search criteria / keyword like "truck driver." Also, the "salary estimates" are outrageously wrong. But it's better than most of the others like "monster" that has almost no job listings. Some features of the app don't work at all like "bowls" whatever that is supposed to be. At least the app starts and you can save job listings, so there's that.
