Grubhub: Food Delivery

I'm going out of my way to write this. I had an order recently that got miss delivered. No picture for the order just a red screen. I issued my request of didn't receive food and wanted redeliver. Got instant credit instead. I was fine with it, but then I tried to order again today. I'm exhausted from the hassle. I tried to use my credit on 4 different stores and got one message. "Sorry we cant combine two or more payment methods." Try doordash instead never any issue like this.

The app isn't the issue it's the service itself. They need to update their system to what DD uses or something similar. They are so slow it takes 2 hrs to get an order from a place that's 10 minutes away. Yeah I can get it myself but not the point. I'm not always able to get out and I'm willing to pay for it to be delivered to me and I actually tip well. Drivers get lost or take weird ways to get to my house and it takes them longer. Just annoying. They don't care which is why I'm cancelling.

I keep getting an error page when I click "help" or "extra tip". I had a fantastic, kind driver, and I wanted to toss him an extra $5, and I can't. Deleted the app, reinstalled, force stopped, cleared cache, tried on wifi, tried on cellular. I've got a Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Amazon only makes eleven zillion dollars a day, so I'm thinking a working app shouldn't be too high an expectation, but here we are. I took a screen recording, can a dev reach out? I'm mad at Bezos, not you.

I think this app is great and very convenient. However, I have a few grievances. When a place cancels an order, they are not able to send a reason why. I also think there should be some preventative measures in order to avoid ordering when there is a shortage on something. For example, restaurants should be able to provide notices such as "out of rice" in a red section when you click the restaurant's page. Restaurants canceling my order has made my planning extremely difficult.

Convenient and it works. Amazon prime gives you a little upgrade, which is nice. However, I've had three instances of delivery people not delivering the entire order, the wrong order, or taking an absurd amount of time to make the delivery. I literally watched a delivery driver circle the city before arriving at my location 60 minutes late. Other than that, the app is fine.
