Simply Sing: My Singing App

Installed this after seeing an ad about it and was curious what my range was. After the tutorial/test and receiving the results......well that's pretty much it. They make you pay for EVERYTHING. There's not a single free song. I'm sure there are other singing apps that give you at least a couple of free songs or some songs that you need to watch an ad for. This one? You get nothing but a test/tutorial that may or may not be accurate. You'd probably save more money going to an actual vocal coach

With the way this app is advertised I expected it to teach way more, and for it to be better at picking up accurate vocal ranges. It kept putting me in Alto or mezzo, when I've been a contralto for a very long time. I also expected it to have way more songs, and to coach you when you're singing other songs. It's not worth the asking prices, and they don't even give you a couple of free songs to try out before requiring you to pay. I cancelled my subscription same day.

Everything's locked behind a paywall.... I wish they had a way to make it mandatory for apps to clearly express that a subscription is required from the start instead of advertising the app for being free to download. It's irritating to come across manipulative things like this. It says "contains in app purchases" but I genuinely don't think that's enough information to clarify that a subscription is needed for the app to possibly be functional. It lists "free" songs that aren't actually free.

Not as advertised! This app DOES NOT teach anything. It automatically progresses through song no matter how you sound. Even paying for a premium subscription all you get is 1 brief "lesson" a day and it doesnt matter how well or bad you do; it will just end with no way to repeat and improve. Im not try to be the next Idol, I just dont want to sound like a dying pig every time I attempt to sing. They have the right idea with a GuitarHero style but fall flat with actually learning anything

I mean, seriously? you advertise something that looks beneficial for people who want to learn how to sing better, (or just sing for fun) and basically I gave 2 starts because atleast the first steps are free. Good to know what Vocal Range you are and who you match with. But other than that, you have to pay for EVERYTHING. Atleast have a few free songs geez. I would not recommend for those who are interested in singing for serious or even just for fun. Too Expensive.
