If you’re ready to build your credit, Kikoff is the fastest, smartest, and easiest way to do it. Kikoff customers who make on-time payments see improvements of their credit score by 58 points, on average.

Sign up for Kikoff Basic plan for just $5/month or Premium plan for $20/month. You’ll get a credit line reported to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion
every month. Each on-time payment builds payment history, which helps your credit! Whether you have a low credit or no credit, we make it easy and worry-free – no credit check required and it only takes a few minutes to apply. How it works:1. We lower your credit utilization with a $750 or a $2,500 tradeline.
2.. You make a purchase with that tradeline (limited to Kikoff), and you just pay back what you spend (our lowest + most popular payment amount is $5/month). We report those payments to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion every month while your utilization rate stays low.
3.. You have the option to put your credit building on autopilot by turning on AutoPay – that’s right, no heavy lifting required from you after account setup.
4.. We flag errors on your report. Also, users with Premium Credit Service account can sign up to Rent Reporting to have their rent payments reported. Kikoff helps you build credit by establishing a payment history and maintaining a low utilization rate, all with no unexpected fees or interest.
Credit Score Increase: Based on Kikoff customers who start with 600 or below credit. Payment behavior can have an impact on your credit score, and individual results may vary. Data current as of March 2022.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Kikoff build credit?
high

Kikoff provides you with a credit line (a 'tradeline') that is reported to the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion). You make a purchase within the Kikoff store using this line and then pay back what you spend, starting at $5/month. These on-time payments are reported monthly, which helps build your payment history and can improve your credit score. The app description notes that customers who start with a 600 or below credit score see an average improvement of 58 points with on-time payments.

Is Kikoff a scam?
low

Based on the available user review data, one reviewer out of five sampled called the app a scam, claiming it doesn't raise credit scores and has poor customer service. However, this is a single, low-confidence observation. The app has a 4.8-star rating from over 121,000 reviews, which suggests the majority of users have a positive experience. For a balanced view, it is best to treat the 'scam' claim as an unverified, single-user complaint.

How much does Kikoff cost?

Kikoff offers two plans: a Basic plan for $5/month and a Premium plan for $20/month. One sampled user from a 3-star review found the $5/month plan to be an affordable and effective way to build credit compared to other services.

Can Kikoff damage my credit?
low

One sampled user (2-star review) reported that the app damaged their credit because they accidentally signed up for a more expensive subscription plan than intended. Another user (1-star review) reported being locked out of their account, which could potentially lead to reporting issues. These are claims from individual, low-confidence reviews. The app's primary goal is to build credit through on-time payments, and late payments could negatively impact a credit score.

I used a different app in the past. This was easier at $5 per month and cheaper to build credit. I didn't mind that the credit could only be used in their store because it keeps you from spending, thus adding to your credit. It did help me build credit over a years time. I dropped it to 3 stars because it is an absolute nightmare to get your money out for the loan part. The hoops you have to jump through to get your own money is insane. I won't use that part again, unfortunately.

It worked great when I first tried it, but then they locked me out of my account. When I try to login with my phone number, the only option it gives me, it says it is registered to another user and to try again. I only have one number and it's on my account with them. Now they are reporting on my credit. An app that was supposed to help me repair my credit is actually making it worse. DON'T USE THIS APP IF YOU ACTUALLY HOPE TO RAISE YOUR CREDIT SCORE!!!

This is a scam app! You pay them to shop within their store and they say you shopped there and paid the bill. It doesn't raise your credit score and when you call customer service they are people that you can't understand. When I asked to speak with someone who could speak better so that I could understand what my money was used for during my six months with them, they told me to call back later! When the guy was explaining it he said there is no guarantee, the money is for the app and store.

This app has done more to damage my credit than to aid it. I originally signed up for the program where I would recieve my payments back at the end of the pay period, but somehow signed up for a 30/m program which is just a subscription to build credit. So you pay them out of pocket for nothing in return but a small credit bump, something you can get from finnacing an item of value to you. I never recieved a refund, would be 1 star if not for the customer service to help end my subscription.

This app doesn't do a good job of explaining what it does. It gives you a fake credit line that they report to the credit bureaus. They also offer identity insurance, access to soft credit reports from all 3 bureaus, and a secured credit builder account. I think they also offer a bank account, but I haven't checked in a while. They also offer savings credit builders for like $10/month that you pay on for 12 months and they give you back the money. This is not a credit card, though.
