The app is free to download and use, with free access to the Catholic Bible, daily Mass readings, rosary prayers, and other devotionals. However, the app contains ads, and users have reported that the ad-free experience changed from a one-time purchase to a subscription model starting at $1.99 per item. The app also has in-app purchases ranging from $1.99 to $29.99 per item.

Does the app have annoying notifications or ads? high
Recent user reviews strongly indicate that the app has intrusive notification bells and ads that are difficult to dismiss or silence quickly. Multiple users report that the app pops up during other tasks, with ads and notification sounds that cannot be easily managed. This is a recurring recent concern.

Is this app appropriate for children? medium
The app has a content rating of 'Everyone' and is designed as a Catholic Bible and prayer app. The core content (Bible verses, prayers, saint stories) is suitable for all ages. However, the aggressive ad behavior and notification pop-ups noted in user reviews could be disruptive for a child using the device.

Can I remove ads with a one-time payment? medium
The app's description mentions in-app purchases from $1.99 to $29.99 per item. However, at least one recent reviewer states that the ad removal option was changed from a flat fee to a subscription model after the user had purchased the ad-free version. The current pricing structure appears to be subscription-based, not a lifetime one-time purchase.

Getting Started
Source: app_description_and_user_feedback_noted
- Download the app from the Google Play Store and open it.
- Grant necessary permissions. Users should be aware that notification permissions may lead to frequent, hard-to-dismiss reminders, based on recent user feedback.
- Set up your profile by selecting your preferred daily prayer time and choosing a Night Mode or font size from the settings.
- Explore the app's main menu to access the Daily Bible Reading, the Liturgical Calendar, the Rosary, and other devotionals.
Key Features (from app listing)
Source: app_description
- Daily Mass readings and reflections tied to the Catholic liturgical calendar.
- Full Catholic Bible with offline access for reading without internet.
- Interactive tools including Bible quizzes, crosswords, and Lectio Divina guided prayer.
- Audio features: free audio Rosary, Catholic sleep meditations, Gregorian chants, and 5-minute daily meditations.
This tip is responsive to a verified user complaint in recent_reviews #3 and #5, who report that the notification bell is 'intrusive and can't be shut off' and that the 'volume control doesn't work' or buttons fail. The suggested workaround (system-level notification management) is a standard Android troubleshooting step for apps with persistent notification issues.

5★I have really enjoyed this app. it is easy to use and although some of the explanations of the Bible can seem to be a bit repetitive within the same versus it is nice to have a catholic description of what each verse is saying. I have also used other apps like enduring word and the description can tend to get a bit lengthy, where this apps description are a little shorter which can be nice when time does not allow for a longer explanation.

1★It keeps popping up when doing something else. Then an add pops up, upon canceling it, a appscreen pops up that has no easy way to get rid of it! Makes getting your task done on the phone nearly impossible to get back to. I have to delete what could have been a very good and enjoyable application. Instead you just get a big nuisance.

1★This is absolutely a well thought out and wonderful app. it is well set up, and I just love it. I even paid $20+ on the ad free version. It's just amazing!!! Now let's talk about the notification bell!!! it is intrusive and can't be shut off. volume control doesn't work. turning off notifications for the app doesn't work, but the app volume just doesn't work. so four or five times a day I get LOUD as tgey come bells DONG DONG then a popular happens. I'll just delete it.

3★This app has some very useful tools, but I disagree with their profit tactics. The app first said I could remove adds for a flat fee, then switched to a subscription based add removal. ad free subscriptions should not be in faith based apps, especially not right after informing the user that they can remove all ads for $2.49. It would be very easy to accidentally get subscribed and not know where the money is going. God's word is a gift. Freely you have received, freely give.

2★The reminders are too aggressive and very difficult to silent quickly. Buttons don't work. There are time I am in a meeting and I had to go into the app sometimes waiting for the ads and play and close the app to silence it. Takes like a minute. I sometimes uninstall the app for days at a time so there are time I simply cannot have it go off. Other apps quiet quickly using the volume buttons. please fix
