Qobuz: Music & Editorial

Very finicky app. Sometimes when you press a button, it either doesn't work or it sends you to a completely different section. Not to mention the some artists who happen to have similar names have their profiles mixed together. That makes things really inconvenient. And the app abruptly stops playing music sometimes when you go into another app.

Quit Spotify due to their support for horrors and poor support for artists. I was very happy to find Qobuz. My music taste is broad and eclectic (including a fair amount of non-western music, classical piano, jazz, musical theatre, punk, industrial, and pop). Most of my playlists transferred to Qobuz without too many tracks missing/unavailable, so that was pleasing. The sound quality is excellent. As others have said, there are improvements that could be made, but a good app overall.

fantastic sound on much of the newer catalog. It's missing depth in slightly obscure or less popular artists, and the UI is somewhat messy. Overall, it's a pretty good service and I'll definitely be interested if they add more hip-hop, jazz, funk, EDM, etc.. Fleetwood Mac is legendary but sometimes you want to hear something else.

I do like the sound of the music, but I have a few issues. My #1 issue is price. WHY in the app does the free trial continue at $15.27/mo yet that plan is NOT listed on the website?? In fact, ALL of the solo plans listed on website, even the 'upgraded' tiers, are CHEAPER than the subscription the app gives you. You can't even find the other subscription options in the app. Super scummy. Also search algorithm is weird, can be hard to find specific songs.

the desktop app is useless. I get "an error occurred trying to play this track" every time. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, tried different settings, different wifi networks, used the web player, nothing. It's also infuriating that when you search for something that it doesn't prioritize items in your library or artists you follow. I'll spell out the whole name of a song that I've liked or added to a playlist and it still won't show up in the first 10+ results
