Surfshark: Secure VPN service

Been using this for over 3 yrs and just renewed a couple of months ago. However, I've been getting more and more "access denied" for the sites I've frequent. It's kind of annoying and I need to switch off the VPN to go to those sites which defeats the reason I got a VPN in the first place. A couple of times after "reporting" the sites I was able to access the those sites but lately even that hasn't helped. It sucks that I'm stuck for another couple of years since I'm signed up for another 3 yrs.

I just bought a year's subscription (non-refundable). When Surfshark is connected, my emails often end up in the outbox for hours until I notice they're stuck. The only fix Is to disconnect Surfshark, then they go out immediately. Also, it's quite common for a web page to never load until I change the VPN location. Both of these are super annoying. Neither ever happened with other VPNs. I cancelled my account, but I can't get a refund.

When it works, it's great. Recently however, the VPN has been getting silently disconnected, where the app still shows that it's "connected" even when it isn't. Currently there's no way to know if you're connected without checking your IP through an external service. As a more minor annoyance, the VPN notification icon always shows regardless of whether you are actually connected.

Been a customer for many couple years. Good app and services; my issues is billing and subscription renewal transparency. Between last year and this year my payment has almost doubled. I looked at my account and could not find an itemized list of what was being billed and for how long. so, I canceled and will look elsewhere for vpn until they relearn transparency. I highly suggest other users verify their services, billing and length of service on a regular basis.

the app was fine for many years, but as of the last update, I've been getting a crash 4s after launching and an error that says "something went wrong, check that Google Play is enabled and that you're using an up-to-date version (...)" app was working just fine before update. reinstalling, clearing data/cache does not help. [Update] changed rating to reflect that the issue has been resolved via email & different APK from surfshark's website. thanks!
