1★I signed up a week ago and was in the middle of discussing scheduling with a contractor when I opened the app and found that I was unexpectedly logged out. When I try to log back in, it says "We encountered an error, please try again." It does this consistently. To make matters worse, there is no way to get in contact with their support team if you are not able log in. So incredibly frustrating.

1★Worse app and company ever - I downloaded the app years ago, opened an account and received nothing but bogus jobs to bid on, so I quickly closed the account, unsubscribed, and deleted the app. All was quiet for about a year. Yhen suddenly I started getting bombarded with Emails about these non-existent jobs. Not a few,, but more than 20 a day. I've done every single thing possible to get them to stop sending them but they just keep coming, even though their website says they won't. - SMH

2★I have been using Thumbtack for closer to 2 years. The app is updated frequently and becomes less user friendly with each update. I receive a ton of emails from Thumbtack but not when a pro is actually reaching out to me. Lately I have had to hunt those down. Also, I am offered a limited list of contractors (that I'm sure have paid an extra fee) to contact for each inquiry. I see the same contractors regardless of the gig. I don't mind prioritization but it would be great to have more options.

1★I hired a professional who did not complete the job and damaged my materials in the process. Going through their customer service was a nightmare and took hours of my time and weeks to finish. When all was said and done, they issued me a partial refund (which was appreciated), but then proceeded to block my account from ever booking any services through the app again. Overall, a shady and frustrating experience.

2★The system is wonky,it's luck of the draw on who you get sometimes, and it's just as expensive as hiring uplumbing service, no savings at all. If you make the mistake of contacting more than one person for some reason. They don't read your responses or they don't get them, and they keep bugging you until you have to directly unlink yourself from them on the app. Don't know if I could recommend. I got lucky with the guy I hired,but very very expensive.
