The Knot Wedding Planner

When I first started wedding planning, the knot was the first platform I thought of. I know many people who used it when they planned their wedding. I really like the website building side of it, but there's something about the user interface that can make it hard to navigate when on a phone (desktop version is more user friendly imo). One of my favorite features is with the guest list. Being able to directly pull from the contacts makes it so easy to set myself up for success for invites.

This app is extremely frustrating to use. I can't edit my personal budget, it only gives me the average budget of people in my town. Trying to select a save the date about drive me to elopement! You click on one that you want to see up close and to back out of it you go back all the way to the top and have to scroll through each option all over again. Adding to the guest list is a painstaking process. This app was a good idea in theory but execution is a mess

The editing features for invitations are atrocious. The fact that when I go to remove an item from my cart, the entire list is not only deleted but also completely wiped from the 'saved' page is absolutely ridiculous. These are just a few of many problems we have had on here. I will undoubtedly never recommend anyone using this platform for their wedding or any other event.

I love the Knot! It's great when you are planning a destination wedding. Finding venues and vendors so far away is made easy with this app! I don't use if for my wedding website, so I'm no help with that. The reason I gave them 4 stars is because of their checklist. I love using a checklist, but their dates are pretty off. Like why do I need to have my hair trial in September when my wedding is in May? They have a ton of things that are too far out, and therefore I can't use it the way I want😔

This is a great app. It really covers all your bases making life easier. The only thing I would add is that it would be nice if any support apps like "the guest" could have a place on your website. Also, it would be nice to have a vision questionnaire when creating your "dream wedding." I want a simple outdoor wedding. This is definitely for any wedding (which don't get me wrong is great) but can be overwhelming. I just check things we aren't doing or found a simple solution for.
