TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE

i think most of the problems of tiktok come from its community. but the app itself (for the most part) is really well-developed. i do notice bugs occasionally but it's not nearly as bad as other apps. the pushing of lives and shop items, however, is EXCESSIVE. i'll get 15 livestreams in a row, ads are like every 2 videos and there needs to be better moderation of deceptive advertising too.

TikTok has changed. The algorithm is LAME. I see way more ads in the feed now too. If you watch one video for half a second too long, all of a sudden there are a bunch of it in the feed, but I barely see the other stuff that I actually WANT to see. The changes are horrible. *** update as of 5/22. It got better for a short time, but now it sucks again. Ads ads ads ads ads blah blah blah. This is ridiculous. Get your algorithm straight.

I dont know if it's just me, but the app has been so laggy and glitchy for weeks now. Sometimes, it'll crash and exit me out, and other times, it'll just lag so much that I dont even wanna bother with it anymore. But today, it said there's a bug in the app, and to clear the cache, I have 0 cache on tiktok, and then they said it was a problem with the app itself..

The app has become more buggy. Scrolling videos where the videos will freeze but there is audio playing. Trying to go back to where you were previously will sometimes bring you all the way back to main screen with videos. For long use, the app itself will make your phone hot and Tik Tok will become laggy to where you can't just restart the app by closing it and reopening it, you have to restart your phone. It's just overall becoming more unoptimized since I've been using it in 2019.

I swear, in the last few months, there is always some sort of bug or something wrong with the playback on the videos. They go dark sometimes, especially when i first open the app (I can hear audio but the screen is black). A lot more lately, I'll be scrolling for a little bit and all of a sudden, it struggles to load any videos, just constantly buffering, my internet and/or data is working perfectly fine.
