Getting Started

Source: app_description_and_user_feedback_noted

  1. Download the Tilt app from Google Play and create an account.
  2. Link your bank account or other income sources so Tilt can assess your real-time income and spending (no credit check required for cash advance).
  3. Choose your product: Cash Advance ($10–$400), Line of Credit, or Credit Card based on your needs.
  4. If you take a cash advance, the money is deposited to your bank account. You can choose instant delivery for a fee or opt for standard delivery (fees may apply).
  5. Set up automatic repayment or manually repay by the due date. You can also change repayment dates easily in the app.
  6. Optionally, enable Automatic Savings to set a savings goal; Tilt AI will move aside money as your budget allows (requires opening an FDIC-insured deposit account through nbkc bank).

Pro Tip: If the $8/month subscription fee feels high relative to a small advance, consider using the 14-day trial to test the service and cancel before being charged if the advance amount doesn’t meet your needs.

This tip responds to the verified user concern (recent_reviews #1) that qualifying for only $25 but paying $8/month feels like a rip-off. The 14-day trial is mentioned in the app description as available for first-time customers.

This app is a joke. Aside from it being buggy, I only qualied for $25 - as an advance - but have to pay $8/month? That's not only pointless, and a ripoff, I get an error message saying "unexpected error occurred," if I try to accept it. Glad they offered a 14-day trial, because I'd never pay $8/month for this horrible of a platform. The bank I connected has close to $1,000, so $25 just doesn't make sense. I'd recommend using someone like Brigit, instead. They approved me for more in seconds!

Account was charged off, could no longer take advances. Fair. Paid the collection agency. However, they continued to take their sub fee of $8 every month for 6 months despite the account no longer being eligible for the service. After months of back and forth, calls and emails, they offered me half of what they took despite not offering the service I'm paying for. Which is, you know, illegal.

After weeks of trying to log back into my account it says I am no longer eligible to subscribe. I was told I resubscribed the max times allowed. I never resubscribed. I tried to update my phone number and email on the app. This resulted in creating another profile and I am assuming resubscribing. I tried multiple times to explain this to customer service but it is useless. The app needs work. Complete waste of my time.

i work in sales and Ive used all the apps you can think of to bounce till that next comission check. Tilt has by far the easiest repayment date changing, some of the lowest fees (think tilt is bad? try klarna or earnin). Its by far the most flexible and easiest to use. the fees are the most reasonable, and it gives you more when you repay back with no issues consistently which makes sense. if you want 500-700 bucks, repay the 200-300 consistently a couple times and they will offer you more.
