ElevenLabs: AI Voice Generator

Misleading Credit System and No Auto-Save I had a very frustrating experience using ElevenLabs. I lost a large amount of work along with 40,000 credits, and there was no warning or recovery option. The platform does not clearly explain that your work is not automatically saved, so everything can be lost unexpectedly. The credit system is also not transparent—you are essentially charged for every letter, and those credits are gone even if something goes wrong.

had the app for 20 minutes and ran out of credits trying to playback videos that did not play at all. if I had understood I paid $12 for the trap to have to pay to even see the videos I created, I never would have wasted my money and time. you guys got me! Another sucker! so many free options are even better than this, it is a despicable business practice. But it is my fault, should have done more research. (DO NOT PURCHASE, THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS)

Eh, if you're a spoken word artist, just record your natural voice in a recorder app and send it to the editor. This doesn't put the right emphasis, use the right pauses, once your voice is cloned, it still doesn't sound like you. I would say to Eleven, allow us to record whatever it is we're reading, the way we want It to be read and then spit out the results. 30 seconds of voice capture isn't enough for poets. I guess in this case it's best to just do it yourself. uninstalled Sub cancelled.

Extremely expensive for no good reason. The speech generation is okay, but it costs way too much for simple text to speech. I can't even get much done. It takes an entire month for free credits to come back. You can ONLY SAVE 3 VOICES. This is just ridiculous. Edit: Now I'm getting blocked for "unusual activity", and it's demanding me to buy the paid version. Yeah, no. Dumping this app.

Filter all 1 stars b4 u signup! You can be a paying customer for a year and rack up tons of credits & yet when you don't pay your 5 bucks for 1 month they don't even let you use any of the credits YOU ALREADY PAID FOR that are just sitting there! Horrible company & business practice. There's tons of ai voice companies out there. Many will give you free credits as well. Not only that but their interface sucks & always has problems & login issues. Unfortunately I've spent way too much money here.
