Today Weather:Data by NOAA/NWS

Simple use and layout, and the ad placements are clear in saying they are ads (words in a yellow box in the top corner saying, "AD") and are not intrusive, unlike many other weather apps I've switched between on different phones over many years. Also, as long as you provide it permission and have location on, it auto-detects where you are and tells you the weather of the area. Basically, it provides everything I need from a weather app.

A quality weather app that blows many others out the water. I used to rely on a slow weather app that had to load *every* single time to be used. And not only that, but I would be bombarded with ads! With Today Weather though, they're noninvasive, only in places that won't distract you from figuring out if tomorrow would be a good day to walk around or not. *INCREDIBLY* underrated app that doesn't require you to pay money to get instant, detailed knowledge on the weather. Deserving of 5 stars!

I haven't seen a free app, especially a weather app that was actually the most reasonable for minimal or even none at all for any annoying adds or pop-ups (*knock on wood* ... you will continue this amazing feature) pretty accurate information and offers a lot of options for multiple settings... thanks for something different in a simple , informative, and for a a state that has every single season in one day it's crucial for having something reliable but unnecessary to pay or subscribe for.

thanks for quick response! the multiple notifications being grouped makes sense, thanks. it is actually working much better and the temp has been on display consistently again. i had gone in and played with notifications settings and other sertings (ie turning off and back on) and the problem seems to have corrected. I even have a severe weather alert notification. looks like all is well for now, thanks!

Eventually they'll probably sell out, but until that happens, this is my favorite weather app. Just a heads up though, Google's January 2026 update for my Pixel came with more half-baked "AI" garbage that breaks the status bar icon yet again (3rd time Google's updates have broken it). Go into the notification settings and turn off the new notification category sorting junk if you want the status bar icon back
