Malwarebytes Mobile Security

I love the app, I've been using Malwarebytes for years, however I hate that you can't turn off the multiple "You're protected! This is what I can do!" notifications you get in a day. I wake up to 2 of them most mornings, and usually get around 5 of them throughout the day. This is with all the notifications you can toggle in the app turned off. Great app, but extremely annoying to get 5-10 notifications a day over nothing.

It auto-subscribed me to Malwarebytes Plus after auto-subscribing me to a free trial that I did not start. After it told me I was on a free trial, I tried to cancel it multiple times, but it wasn't showing up that I was subscribed and said I was on the free version. Now, it won't even let me log in to use the Plus version, it just keeps looping me back to the login page. So it charged me almost $50, which made my budget super tight, and I can't even use it.

App says it is scanning my folders but there's no real way of me knowing if it even does what it claims to do. Like many other antivirus/malware apps they require absolute access to device folders at all times. On a plus note, the app is easy to use just click the "X" on top corner when first using the app. There is both free version and premium version.

I paid for 1 year of the Plus during my free trial, and it wasn't ever initiated! (Yes, I verified the charge on my PayPal statement for Feb 11th, 2026 thru Cleverbridge, Inc.) There isn't any way to contact MalwareBytes after taking hours, literally, floating around within the app, calling them, can't even seem to find their "Chat" option after the 1st day which being after hours, the "AI" CHAT told me to try during business hours. Now I can't find the Chat option - VERY FRUSTRATING! 😣😲

I used to have a great deal of faith in this app. The VPN now, refuses to open with a nonsense error message, "oops, something went wrong, try again later." the safe browsing function, freezes and even opening YouTube can cause it to shut down. I contacted their technical support X channel... now answer now for two weeks. This just isn't the same robust security software it once was.
