Mercari: Buy and Sell App

No tags made it harder for buyers and sellers. It can be a drag to find something if you don't know the brand but some specs. It's more expensive now to buy unless in bundles and more to sell.You'll add stuff to your likes by accident while scrolling.You get notif. after you view an item with no choice not to. When you like an item the options should be looking/interested/ or ready to buy. Commun. can be min. to non-existent.There are a lot more scammers trying to sell and buy.

I have been with Mercari for many years. And if I can learn anything whenever they update their app everything goes wrong. I'm guessing they're trying to upgrade the way you see things on the seller page, it's actually annoying. Anytime you look at a post on your seller's page the promote button it disappears until you scroll down. It was fine the way it was. I don't know why they do that.

I've never had any problems with buying or selling but this app is broken half the time. It freezes, scrolling stutters and bounces around, if you browse for too long (and by "too long" I mean like 5 minutes) the listings will simply stop loading in or you can't click on them at all. I have to close and reopen the app to fix it. It makes it very difficult when I'm looking through a search that has a lot of results. It didn't used to be like this and I wish they would fix the stability

AVOID Mercari at all costs. Typing this then deleting the app. $20 in fees on a $40 purchase, you are NUTS. Fees, fees, fees, fees, so many fees, and it wasn't like this a few months ago. Then there are the scammers listing things for sale. Tried to buy an item from 3 completely different sellers, all 3 sent junk rather than the item listed. Mercari wouldn't do a refund only a credit to my account that had an expiration date. Use it in time or they just steal your money and you get nothing.

I really love this app, and I think it's a brilliant idea. I've been using Mercari for years, and they've really improved search functions, filtering, UI. My biggest criticism is that eBay's pay in 4 doesn't seem to work. Also, fees have increased a lot over the years. Lastly, you can block sellers, but that doesn't seem to prevent their listings from showing up in your feed. It would be great if they'd implement this, either as a filter option or automatically if you block a seller.
