How this content was created
Content type: pattern_analysis_of_user_reviews_and_metadata
AI generated: Yes
- Google Play user reviews (12-20 preferred; may be smaller if source data is limited per app), September 21, 2025 to February 18, 2026
- Google Play ratings distribution
- App Store listing metadata
- Review samples are not statistically representative of all user sentiment
- Only 5 recent reviews were available (no other buckets), so claims may prioritize recent negative feedback
- Claims labeled 'high confidence' are based on 2 of 5 reviews - while consistent, the sample size is very small
- No high-engagement positive or negative reviews were available to verify whether these issues are widespread
- No real-world app testing was conducted
- Feature availability may vary by region, device, and app version

1★Cancelling. I've used Norton on every device I have for over 20 years. I'm done! Ever since LifeLock took over, this app went from the best to the worse. I constantly get ads that I tell not to show again that pop up with stupid scare tactics for me to buy more stuff, invasive popups, horrible integration, and overpriced services that don't work as advertised. Constantly says I'm on a new network even with precise location on.

1★Works good. If it would block pop ups /ads it would be better. I hate getting warnings from norton about something that is just a scam to get you to buy yet another service. Just keeps getting worse and worse. used to be able to swipe down and start a scan. I can't even find a way to scan now. After 25+ years of using norton. it may be time to find something else.

1★I'm waiting for the bug fix Norton says they're making in response to other reviews. I haven't been able to use the app in a few weeks. The whole app froze, showing only a yellow screen. I tried troubleshooting everything I could think of and nothing worked. The problem is in the accessibility section, where you allow full access. There's a message that says"this service is malfunctioning." All the app does is crash, and is useless on this device. Though it's still working on my other devices...

1★I've noticed that since it updated, I can't use the app. That hasn't changed with this new update today. It stays on the yellow launch screen, and that's it. And still, because I haven't let Norton do my battery rather than my devices, I can't run a scan at all. That doesn't make me feel secure. Should I start looking for a new antivirus program for my devices, as well as my family's, or will all this be fixed soon?
