How this content was created

Content type: pattern_analysis_of_user_reviews_and_metadata

AI generated: Yes

Data sources:
  • Google Play user reviews (12-20 preferred; may be smaller if source data is limited per app), Date range of available reviews
  • Google Play ratings distribution
  • App Store listing metadata
Limitations:
  • Review samples are not statistically representative of all user sentiment
  • High-engagement negative reviews can overrepresent complaints
  • Claims labeled 'low confidence' are based on single-review observations only
  • No real-world app testing was conducted
  • Feature availability may vary by region, device, and app version
  • The sample is limited to 5 recent_reviews. No other review buckets were available, which restricts the ability to detect cross-bucket patterns and may not capture common high-engagement praise or complaints.

MyChart is an ok repository for medical records, but it's not great for setting appointments or for communication with doctors. There are different confusing ways to contact the practice and half the time they don't seem to get my messages. For appointments I've found in most cases it's a lot easier to just call by phone. There is a lot of functionality here, but in terms of usability, the site and the app are not intuitive. They need to hire some better user experience design professionals.

I love the features of this app, especially wrt viewing history of lab results. My biggest complaint is that it does not work while I am connected to the WiFi in my doctors' offices. I expect that this is an issue with the WiFi config, as things work when I disable WiFi and switch to cellular data. Access via Wi-Fi works fine for me at other locations. Further issue: I see no way to connect to the support team for the app to report the issue.

As a senior, I've used (too) many hospital and medical applications. I've found Epic to be the easiest to use. The layout makes it really simple to find my way around with icons, simply to message my providers, easy to find my test results and to view these charts showing my labs results and how they've fluctuated over the years. I give this app a 💯! Use it if you've not tried it! 🤗

Very convenient in so many ways. One can send communication to their doctor(s) with questions about tests, symptoms, updates, and so much more. Test results are available quickly, appointments can be made, and messages are usually answered very quickly. I believe doctors appreciate the convenience also. But be sure to avoid socializing. Save it for the important stuff!

EDIT: It's doing the same for all health servers I log into on this app. I've used this app for years with no issues. Now, I can initially log in, but I can't check my messages or view past appointment information for myself or anybody else. "An error has occurred on the server" and "taking you back to mychart" is all I get. I've cleared cache, forced stop, restarted phone, ect..... & it's completely unacceptable I can't access critical records outside of office hours. Fix this!
